Feather's Trace

Description

A drifting glow, a startled-swan shadow, rare sparks and scattered plumes remained. Clear eyes, a heart as still as a lake, till ice dissolved and snow gave way. As dusk washed over the forest, the girl plucked fruit, her eyes shining like stars. A white-feathered bird folded its wings and settled beside her, lingering close, as moonlight flowed softly at her side.
