Night Shadows

Description

She chased the trail to a long street blazing with lanterns. Thin moonlight poured down from the high sky as the market shimmered like scattered jewels. She turned and saw fish-shaped lanterns wink, their glow flashing with uncanny golden scales. When she looked again, the strange shadow had slipped soundlessly into the clusters of flowers.
