Gold paint flaked away and the backdrop stood mottled, yet on this ruined stage, she bloomed into an undying flame. Her arms swept past the drapes, her skirt brushed through the dust, and she sank into her own world. There, the lights never dimmed, and she was a dancer with eternal freedom.
