Rippled Melody

Description

In that haze, she drifted like duckweed or springtime willow. Somewhere beyond, she came to rest, hearing only the sound of trickling water. The spirit seed awoke, dim and half-blind, but not afraid. It broke through the dark, struggled free of the mud, and when it first opened upon the water, starlight spilled across the pond, clear and delicate, unlike anything else.
