Description

The courtyard dew still clings to the stone, cold and undried, yet the message has already struck. Like a cloud falling from the ninth heaven, the silken strings snap in a single, jagged instant. The song dies in the throat of the instrument; the deep palace is swallowed by a hollow silence, for the soulmate is gone, and the music has nowhere left to go.
