A Letter to Vinkaka

Wishing you well upon receiving this letter! I sometimes feel something amiss with my body. The physician says it's a matter of an imbalance of Qi and blood, yet whether it means fortune or misfortune remains uncertain. I'm still awaiting destiny's will. Even so, whenever I think of the friendship I share with you, all the burdens in my chest vanish, as if I'm bathing in a gentle spring breeze. I remember the past, when we discussed Linlang together in Spira. I recall the gentle breeze outside the eaves and the curling tea smoke within the room. Such scenes are still vivid in my mind. To have one or two true friends in life is enough to bring contentment to one's entire existence. Today I send you this simple note, not to speak of my ailments, but merely to let you know: although my body drifts like floating willow fluff, my heart remains ever tied to Spira.
