What a huge undertaking... I must have lost my mind to take this on. Well, now that I've started, I can't just let it go unfinished. Today I continue standing practice, holding my breath, keeping my hands steady... Day after day of this, and I fear I could turn into a stone myself. Shifang's owner passed by for a few days and kept laughing at me, saying I sit in the stone cave like a hermit and calling me "Stone Hermit." Laughs aside, one day I'll leave him completely stunned! ... I see now! Every raised surface must be spotless, down to the cracks, or it won't adhere properly to the base. The surface is manageable, a soft brush will do, but what about the cracks? How should I handle those? ... (Below are some margin notes written in different handwriting, with less wear) Side Note: First, use a dust blower to remove dirt from the cracks, then carefully brush the surface with a soft brush. Always remember: be meticulous, keep your hands steady, and never make a mistake.
