The Old Ruins are a barren area of Serenity Island heavily populated by Esselings. Though the origin of the ruined home are unknown, given that they closely resemble the buildings of Prosperville, it's possible that the ruins somehow traveled to the island when the Pieceys were originally transported there. Another viable explanation could be that the people of the Abandoned District once had a colony on the island, prior to the Stonetree Disaster. Despite its dangers, the Piecey Adventure Club has given the area a beginner-level difficulty rating. It is also the home of Softsilk Thread, an important and rare stitching material.
