Abandoned District/History

The Abandoned District is a Piecey settlement that was once part of the ancient Stonewoods region.

## Human Settlement

Many years ago, the humans of the Stonewoods were spread throughout the region, which was one contiguous land mass. The iconic Stonetrees of the period were considerably smaller than their modern counterparts, and humans could easily climb them.

The major settlement in the area was Prosperville. The city was part of a well-developed trade network with Cicia and the Heartcraft Kingdom, and even attracted major investors like the famous actress Juliette. They were also devout worshippers of the Silvergale, just like their Stoneville descendants.

## Notable Events

* The Ripple Estate is founded at some point during this time. The estate became famous throughout Miraland for its iconic Vins des Ripples.

## The Stonetree Disaster

One day, earthquakes began affecting the peaceful region of the Stonewoods. Earthquakes continued for some time, growing in frequency and severity. One first-hand account records the life of a young villager living through the disaster:

"Today was my first experience of an earthquake. Even Mrs. Laura, the oldest person in the village, says she's never witnessed a disaster such as this in her lifetime. ... Although the sky still seems just as far away as always, it feels like something has subtly changed. ... The earthquakes are becoming more frequent. This morning, when we were praying to the Silvergale, we had to stop and run outside to take cover. The place where the haystacks were once neatly piled up in now cluttered with our neighbors' personal belongings."

A stylist named Lesino, also known as the Prophet of Prosperville, Over a period of several years, many residents left while escape was still easily possible, either due to the threat of the growing earthquakes or the dire warnings of the Prophet. the growth of the Stonetrees eventually reached a point where the region was no longer habitable for human life, culminating in one final, devastating earthquake. One story recounts the tale of young lovers who attempted to use an Ability Outfit to flee, but ultimately failed. Many villagers likely perished in the attack, though the number is still unknown.

## Present-Day

With the aid of Raggy and Giroda, Nikki was able to search the District and learn clues about the truth behind the Prophet. It was there that she ultimately discovered Giovanni's true identity and battled the Caged Greed.

## Note

The quests, readables, and clothing items of Version 1.5 provide a significantly different timeline for the District. According to these sources, the Stonetree Disaster took place approximately one thousand years ago, shortly after the War of the Dark. Many years later, after the evacuation of the Stonewoods, a group of humans known as the Rogues moved to the Abandoned District and started a new life there. However, their peace was not to last, as the town was invaded by the Order of Dawn. The Pieceys sacrificed scraps of their own bodies along with their memories to transport themselves to safety, creating the haven known as Serenity Island.
