Wishfield/History

Wishfield is a region of the Heartcraft Kingdom, and formerly a sovereign territory under the protection of The Wishing One.

As many dates have yet to be confirmed, this does not present an exact timeline of the region. All dates are considered unknown unless otherwise specified.

## Age of Divinity

During the Age of Divinity, Wishfield was overseen and protected by the famous Wishing One. During this time, several civilizations flourished, most notably the Wishing Woods and Old Florawish.

The Wishing Woods and Old Florawish are noted to have a particularly harmonious relationship. The iconic Dream Warehouse was jointly managed by Faewish Sprites and humans as early as 6,239 years ago. Other structures of Old Florawish date back to similarly ancient periods, with the Swan Gazebo and the Old Florawish Memorial all dating back to at least three thousand years ago.

At some point during this era, The Wishing One transformed into the Silvergale. It was around this time that the region of the Stonewoods began to flourish, particularly the town of Prosperville.

## Ancient Conflicts

At an unknown point several thousand years ago, war broke out between the gods and The Dark. Not only gods fought in this conflict, but also humans, Faewish Sprites, and others. Wishfield received support from Cicia, whose knights were blessed by miracles of The Wishing One. Florawish was supposedly at the "forefront" of the conflict. It was also around this time that the Stonetrees of the Stonewoods first awoke, causing violent and wide-spread destruction throughout the region.

After the death of the gods during what is likely referred to as Heaven Fall, the sole burden of the conflict fell to the mortal peoples of Miraland.

Unable to cope with the loss of the gods, the people of Florawish sought comfort in the Divine Envoy, hoping that she would be able to grant their wishes. Priests of The Wishing One conducted a ritual known the Wishing Ceremony. The results of this ceremony are unknown. While the Divine Envoy did not actually possess any godly power, she did have the ability to grant wishes to an extent, as seen in the Water Swing.

## Reconstruction

Wishfield joined the Heartcraft Kingdom no later than 127 A.W. However, it was likely an ally long before that, given that knights from Cicia lent their aid during the War of Heavens. An ancient message sent to the Stylist's Guild suggests that Wishfield may have joined at some point during the War Against the Dark in order to receive reinforcements against the Esselings and natural disasters of the period.

Not much is known about the Wishing Woods or the Stonewoods in the years directly after the end of the War Against the Dark. Florawish began to rebuild over the next several centuries, including Mayor Lilina's election in 243 A.W.

## Post-Reconstruction

Approximately 300 years prior to the game's events, the infamous Queen Philomia was exiled to the palace that later became known as the Queen's Palace Ruins. Her lasting sorrow would eventually lead to the Eerie Season, a dangerous period of illusion and magic which affected the Florawish and Breezy Meadow regions.

One to two centuries ago, the Stonetree Disaster devastated the thriving town of Prosperville and the other settlements of the Stonewoods. The evacuees then formed the town of Stoneville.

Some time after the creation of Stoneville, the Mistveil War, a conflict between the Fanatic Wishers and the Heartcraft Kingdom, broke out across the region. The Fanatic Wishers intended to use the power of the Divine Envoy to resurrect The Wishing One. Their forces were summarily destroyed during a bitter siege of the Serpentine Ruins.

The War of the Descendants also took place in recent history. The conflict was largely over the religious schism between the Wishing Woods and the Stonewoods. Pieceys and the humans of Stoneville fought on one side; Faewish Sprites and the people of Florawish on the other. It's unclear if Kingdom Guards were dispatched, and if so, what side they supported in the civil war.

## Modern Day

The last few decades have been a time of relative peace and stability. However, the attempted apotheosis of Chigda, the Wish Master of the Faewish Sprites, caused the mysterious disappearances of Stylists across the region as well as the coma incidents fifteen years later. Luckily, Chigda was defeated by Nikki, restoring peace to Wishfield.
